Every day we experience the beauty of the Ötztal mountains and realize how important it is to preserve our intact nature. That is why we feel an obligation towards future generations to act ecologically and conserve resources. For us, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but part of our lifestyle.

Regional, close to nature, genuine.

These are the principles under which the Feelfree Nature Resort was founded and is still run today. Every decision - be it the traditional construction of the chalets, the natural design of the garden or the choice of materials - is based on the idea of sustainability. For example, the swimming pool is framed in natural stone from the Passeier Valley, the kitchen serves fresh products from the neighboring farmers and every guest receives a jar of homemade honey on departure.

Nature in all its magnificent and fragility is always our top priority. Host Florian Amprosi gives fresh inputs to the Feelfree Nature Resort's sustainability goals - not as a fashionable trend, but out of genuine conviction. From the organic swimming pond to photovoltaics, we focus on solutions that are in harmony with the environment.

How we contribute to sustainability

Construction method

All chalets are built from renewable materials, especially wood from the region, and meet the standard of low-energy houses.

Park

Our extensive garden is lovingly tended - as a result, our trees and shrubs bind around one ton of CO2 per year.

Waste reduction

We focus on careful recycling and reduce plastic waste by using reusable water bottles in the rooms and avoiding disposable hotel cosmetics.

Mobility

We support an environmentally friendly journey (e.g. by train) and therefore are happy to pick you up free of charge from Ötztal railway station. Also, 4 e-charging stations with electricity from 100% renewable energy are available at the Resort.

Green electricity

Our 175 kWp photovoltaic system on the rooftops of the Resort covers all our own needs during the day in summer. For the rest of the time, we obtain 100% of our electricity from renewable energy sources.

Eco-heat

Our groundwater heat pump covers the Resort's entire heating requirements (excluding hot water) - efficient, environmentally friendly and emission-free.

Regionality

Whenever possible, we use food & products from the region and maintain personal relationships with our local suppliers.

‘We run the Resort as low-emission and environmentally friendly as possible. The many small actions are just as important as looking at the big picture.’

We move mountains for a beautiful garden

Did you know that many of our trees have a second life? When building the holiday village, the founders took care to place the chalets cleverly in order to preserve as many trees as possible. Where this was not possible, they were dug up, moved and re-rooted. Hedges and shrubs also find new places as the village structure changes.
