Experience more than classic winter sport!

The alpine huts with toboggan run in the area are perfect for off-piste excursions. There are countless opportunities to get to know the beautiful Ötztal nature while winter hiking. For example at the nearby Piburger See - there you can even ice-skate over the lake.

The Ötztal and the surrounding area also offer plenty of variety for cross-country skiers.

Ice bathing in the Natur resort

Ice bathing is healthy and ideal to start the day full of energy - and admittedly a bit crazy. On your next winter holiday you can try it out directly in the resort.

Ski touring with safe piste descent

Ski touring is very trendy. With us you can try this new sport. In Hochoetz there is a signposted and secured ski tour. The descent is then via the piste - only normal skiing skills are required. Equipment can be hired directly at the resort and a guide can be booked at reception if required.

Snowshoe

Once a week there is a FREE snowshoe tour at night for our guests through the snow-covered forests in the Ötztal. If you would like to book additional exclusive snowshoe tours with your partner or family, you can do so directly at reception.

Those who prefer to go snowshoeing alone can also rent them directly from us.

Winter hiking

Our resort is right on the outskirts and is therefore an ideal starting point for a large number of winter hiking trails. Either you hike in the valley area along the imposing Ötztaler Ache, to the viewing platforms in the village or to the natural jewel Piburger See. A multitude of panoramic winter hiking trails can be reached by car - for example in Hochoetz (gondola), Küthai or at Feldringer Boden.

toboggan

A toboggan excursion ensures fun and variety - some of the toboggans can be rented directly at the huts or at our resort. The nearby (5 minutes by car) Widi toboggan run from Piburg to Lake Piburg is ideal for families.

At the Feldringer Alm and in Kühtai there are toboggan runs with a special panorama and refreshment stops.

Ice skating on Lake Piburg

In the cold winter months, a trip to Lake Piburg is a must. Then the lake is frozen over and you can either slide across the lake with ice skates (can be rented on site) or on foot.

Visit huts

Not all huts have to be approached on skis. A stop at the Feldring Alm am Sattele, Kühtaile Alm in Hochoetz, Seehäusl am Piburger See or many others is always associated with culinary delicacies. It's a special feeling when you warm up with a good hot drink in the cozy huts and look back on the great experiences.

Cross-country skiing

Cross-country fans can choose between the routes in Ochsengarten, Kühhtai, Niederthai, Längenfeld, Imst, Seefeld and Leutasch (all of which can be reached in under 30 minutes).
There is something for every type of cross-country skiing.

Ride in a carriage

A carriage ride in the snow-covered Ötztal is another highlight in winter - this is possible either directly on site in Oetz or in Längenfeld.
